M Mark K. Verified BuyerThe perfect bedside solution
I have been trying to find a creative way to keep a gun by my bed, easily assessable, but not something easily found or seen by anyone else- especially my children. I absolutely love this solution, and my wife was thrilled with how well it stays hidden. We keep it tucked right up under our headboard, so it’s very tight and can’t be seen unless I lift and move the mattress. The holster was made incredibly well and I love how snug my xdm sits; honestly no play at all. This is my first crossbreed holster purchase and honestly I’m upset someone hasn’t turned me on to them yet. This purchase has made me a huge fan.

Perfect set up for having a weapon at the ready. I purchased some stick on Velcro strips and placed them both sides of product that slide in between mattress and box spring.

C Curt L. Verified BuyerWhat a great idea.
I bought two of these, one for my brother in law and one for myself. What a great idea. No more fumbling with a drawer in the dark when reaching for my firearm. The fit is perfect and I love the portability of it. I can take it with me and use it wherever I go.

D Daniel H. Verified BuyerThe holster is a great
The holster is a great idea and I think if I had a different bed - would be perfect! My bed adjusts at the head and feet, so the matress doesn't lay as flat as other beds. This keeks some weight off the pad between the matress and what would be a box spring. You can see I use mine today, but there is enough room for me to slide my fingers between the back of the holster pad and bed. Since CrossBreed was good enough to include a large piece of velcro - I might stick that to my nightstand and move the holster. Either way - I like knowing my fireare is close, while I am in bed.
Other Firearms
I have a Walther PDP 5" Full and my Springfield Hellcat Pro (in the pics provided)

A Aaron P. Verified BuyerPretty Darn good setup
I bought the bedside back since I travel for work and to have at home. It looks great, it fits my pistol perfectly and is incredibly quick and easy to setup. I also really like the fact that I can swap holsters to use a different pistol if I choose. My only gripe is that there is a bit too much flex when drawing from the holster on lighter mattresses. I find with a light mattress I need to be sitting or laying very near it to draw without lifting the unit up before the pistol becomes un-holstered. The heavier the mattress on top of it the less the Bedside Backup lifts and moves when drawing from the holster. My only suggestion to improve it would be to use a stiffer plastic or make the under mattress plate a lightweight aluminum. Otherwise this setup meets my needs perfectly.

c chuckhi, what's the difference between the bedside backup and the bedside backup assembly only?
-
Store Owner
If your order the Bedside Backup it will come with the modular holster and the Bedside Back up Assembly as a package. The assembly only will just be the part that slides between the box springs and mattress.

K KathleenMy bottom mattress sits inside a wood bed frame with the top mattress on top. Will this still work on quick draw if the flat panel tucks in between the mattresses and the panel that holds the firearm hangs out laying flat against the wood frame (meaning there is about a 2 inch gap between the mattress and panel holding the firearm, due to the wood frame)?
-
Store Owner
Hello. Yes, the Bedside Backup should still work without issue with your wood bed frame.

G Giovanni L.I have two questions. Does the Bedside Backup come with the Ohai holster? And which magazine holster does it fit the Sig p365xl magazines (12 and 15 round magazines)? Thank you!
-
Store Owner
The Bedside Backup will come with the Ohai Modular Holster. The best Magazine Carrier option would be the 9/40 double stack, our holster makers will mold the kydex specific to the mag.

S SBDo you have plans for a Wilson Combat EDC-X9 with an attached light? Thank you.
-
Store Owner
Unfortunately, we don't have a mold for the EDC-X9 with any lights/lasers at this time. We'd be happy to add your request to our list and notify you should it become available, if you'd like?

Store Owner
Hello Phil, The answer to that question would vary. I would say order it for whichever hand you would be drawing with.
